I’ve just spend 2 nights in the stunning Leshiba Wilderness Reserve in the Soutpansberge in the Limpopo Province. It take a bit of effort to get there but it’s really worth the drive. From Jo’burg it’s about 5 hours up the N1 past Polokwane and Louis Trichardt. The last bit is a hectic dirt road which is impossible to drive with a normal car. Lukas welcomed us at the car park and took us up the mountain with a 4×4. We arrived when it was dark already so we couldn’t get a good feel of the place yet. We were curious of how everything would look the next morning.
I truly believe 1 picture says a lot more than a 1000 words so I will upload some pics for you to enjoy. Check my album on Facebook here.
Some facts I’d like to share. Leshiba is a certified Fairtrade in Tourism establishment which means that staff is treated fair and empowered. The staff at Leshiba was absolutely lovely. We felt safe and relaxed. Lukas made sure we were comfortable in the room and Joyce spoiled us with here cuisine. Trymore took us on a bush walk in the morning.
I’m in a hotel at the jo’burg airport at the moment and just feel like chilling. Tomorrow I’m hopping on an overland truck to explore Swaziland and Mozambique….
