See Cape Town in a Carbon Neutral way

You want to do something different in Cape Town? Then you should join the bicycle tour of “Bike and Saddle” Who thought that it is possible to ride a bike through the busy city of Cape Town? But I can tell you one thing… it is an amazing experience and something totally different than from the other tours offered in the city. It doesn´t matter if you are a tourist or a local, it is just a fun experience people should not miss.

The starting point of the Cycling tour is the Waterfront at the Cape Grace Hotel where a short introduction about the tour is given and some refreshments are offered.

This tour takes you to the some nice spots such as the Cape Town Stadium, riding down the Fan mile, Bo Kaap, National Gallery etc. Of course this tour is not all about cycling. At every spot we had a short break where our tour guide had the chance to tell us a little bit about the history and the information concerning the attractions.  Additionally, it is also a nice possibility for guests, who still need to work a little more on their fitness, to have a break and relax for a couple of minutes. Nevertheless, everyone can join this tour even though you are not very sporty at all. There are only a few times where you really have to pedal hard. So don´t worry J

Even though Cape Town is a very busy city and you cannot imagine riding your bike in the city centre, the tour guides took very good care of us and made sure that we were safe at all times. The whole tour takes about  1 ½ hours and ends again at the Cape Grace Hotel where you will have some canapés and sparkling wine to get back on your feet again J

The Canapés were served in the Bascule bar of the Cape Grace Hotel. It is a very nice place to sit and relax and to enjoy the amazing food. It was also great to have the possibility to chat a little bit with the fellow cyclers. Enjoying the delicious sparkling wine is a great way to end a tour like this.
