We will visit the Company Gardens, Greenmarket Square, Long Street, enjoy the views from Signal Hill and take the cable car up to Table Mountain. Table Mountain is the icon of the city that you see from nearly every view point. On top there are many paths to explore, there’s a restaurant and hopefully we will also get to see the ‘Klipdassie’, an animal slightly bigger than a cavia living on rocks (klip means rock in Afrikaans).

Lunch: Free in the V&A Waterfront

Optional: The afternoon we can visit the 2Oceans Aquarium and learn all about ocean life. There’s a touch pool, play grounds, a shark tank and of course Nemo.

Day 3, Tuesday, 24 Oct                          Cape Point; swim with Penguins at Boulders

We will walk up to the light house and learn about the 2 oceans that supposedly meet at this point. We will also take the famous picture at Cape of Good Hope. For those that enjoy a nice walk, it is possible to walk from Cape Point to Cape of Good Hope. After visiting the national park we have an appointment with the African penguins at Boulders Beach. In case the tide allows we can swim with them. They’re very small and very photogenic.  After this day full of action we can rest on our way back to Cape Town. We will make sure to have lunch packs will all kinds of delicious South African delicacies like Biltong & Koeksisters.

Dinner: Free

Day 4, Wednesday, 25 Oct            Safari, find the Big 5. Do you know which animals?

About 2.5 hours drive from Cape Town we can visit a private wildlife reserve. Our dedicated guide will tell us all about the animals and environment that we’re in. Hopefully we get to see lion, elephant, rhino, giraffe, zebra and many more animals. The reserve also has a rescue and conservation centre. We can learn more about this wonderful initiative. After all the activities we can enjoy a buffet lunch and hopefully have a quick jump in the pool before we head back to Cape Town.

Day 5, Thursday, 26 Oct                 Township Cycling Tour with local guide & Art Project

Possibly one of the most memorable experiences of this adventure. Today we will explore one of the vibrant township areas around Cape Town. We will visit a EduCare Centre and community centre and informal settlements. Donations of clothes, pens, books, paper are very welcome. We will enjoy a traditional lunch of chicken, pap and shakalaka in one of the restaurants. Don’t despair if you’re not a good cyclist. The pace is very slow and we can on and off the bike constantly to visit different highlights.

In Hout Bay we can visit the Lalela Art project which gives children of disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to create art and develop their talent. A truly inspiring visit!

Dinner: Free

Day 6, Friday, 27 Oct                             Cape Wine lands, Stellenbosch

A visit to Cape Town wouldn’t be complete without visiting the amazing Cape Wine lands. There are so many beautiful wine estates and many of them offer really fun and interesting activities for the kids as well. We will visit Spier in Stellenbosch.
